Events can be many different things and everyone has opinions on what qualifies as an event. Anyone who has tried Sidecar Doughnuts Apple Fritters will agree that their return qualifies as an event. These snacks only come around during the fall season and only on “Fritter Fridays” but they are well worth the wait. In fact, the menu adds a lot of fall flavors during this time of year. You can find these apple fritters at any Sidecar location, including the one in Costa Mesa. You could also enjoy pecan pie, pumpkin cheesecake, vegan apple cider, and special boxes just for the fall season.

You may have to travel a bit outside Orange County but it is well worth the trip. Riley’s Apple Farm opens it’s orchards to the public for people to come and pick fresh apples. You can then take those apples home and enjoy them raw or use them in a recipe. Chelas Mexican Grill uses fresh ingredients to get the best flavor and these apples are proof that fresh is better. But there is more to do here than just picking apples. You can enjoy amazing foods like the BBQ chicken apple sausage or apple pies. There will also be cider floats, raspberry shakes and so much more. You will need to fuel up with delicious food after the tomahawk and knife throwing, cider pressing, and even archery activities that are also available at Ripley’s Apple Farm.
Anaheim Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run | Nov. 28th
There is one thing Orange County communities really know how to do, how to have a good time. The Anaheim Turkey Trot might be one of the best fall activities in Orange County for families. This event has a few different levels to it which ensures that all ages can take part. There is a 5K run that is timed and awards for top finishers. But there is also a fun run for kids which comes with medals for everyone. The event takes place at Angel Stadium and the run is only part of the event. There will also be pumpkin pancakes, event shirts, Angel memorabilia raffles prizes, and so much more. This event starts at 6:30 AM for registration with the game booths and vendors opening up at 7 AM.
Sawdust Art & Craft Festival | Dec. 1st
There are a few fall activities in Orange County for families that are staples, even traditions in our lives. The Sawdust Art & Craft Festival is one of them. This event is one giant trade show that shines a light on the creativity of others. You can shop your way through different booths with things like ceramics, clothes, glass, jewelry, painting, sculptures and so much more. There will also be outdoor cafes, live music, and many different ways to be entertained. The event is on December 1st in Laguna Beach from 10 AM until 10 PM.
